Biography

Dr. Cinzia Buratti was born in Marsciano (PG, Italy) in 1966. She received her graduation as a Civil Engineer in the year 1990, and continued her Research in Applied Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer from the University of Perugia (Italy). She received her PhD in Applied Physics in the year 1995. She worked as an Assistant professor of Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer and Environmental Control Techniques, 1997 ‐ 2004 under the department of Faculty of Engineering in the University of Perugia (Italy). Currently Dr. Cinzia Buratti is working as an Associate professor of Applied Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer and Environmental Control Techniques, from 2005, Faculty of Engineering in the University of Perugia (Italy).

The research interest of Dr. Cinzia Buratti is followed by - Transparent insulation materials (aerogel) foe energy saving in buildings; - Indoor thermal comfort: instrumental and adaptive approach; - Biomass and bioenergy; - Environmental Impact and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of energy chains; - Carbon Footprint of products and processes; - Environmental impact and sustainable energy; - Heat Transfer (thermal resistance of building elements, thermal expansion of materials); - Acoustics (Environmental acoustics, measurements of sound insulation in buildings and of buildings elements); - Natural lighting; - Thermoigrometrical conditions in museums and in presence of works of art; - Water vapour evaporation measurements from free surfaces; - Thermophysical properties of fluids for absorption machines.
